Eating Boat

We went island hopping again with a few colleagues but the target this time is the Sandbar near Bagumbanwa and Mocaboc Island. As usual, we have limited funds so we invited as much people as we can to help alleviate the expenses. We met at Ferry Terminal near Hilton Hotel, Punta EngaƱo where we negotiate for our boat of the day. Since Sandbar is near Bohol already, we were informed that the usual rate is 7000 pesos which we found ridiculous but after haggling, we ended up paying 4,000 pesos. For the most part of the trip, Bobby keeps on telling us how 4,000 was too low and is just enough to cover the fuel usage but it all fell on deaf ears because the price was already arranged before we get on his boat and he is NOT going to get a single cent more from us. But his service is good enough so for those interested, one may contact him via his mobile phone:

We have grouped ourselves according to beauty cooking skills and brought different kinds of foods to share for the trip. As my birthday is near Christmas where everyone is out on vacation already, I offered to buy 4 Andok’s roasted chicken. Of course, I was the only one with terrible cooking skills so they were happy with the offer. It took about an hour and a half to get to Sand bar and the people couldn’t wait that long so people started eating already. We have also shared our food with the boat crew since it’s sort of a Filipino custom that if one is eating, one should at least invite other people to dine with us.

P.S. I love Rac’s humba and Madie’s buko pandan dessert.
